The following are some of the important Citation and Scholarly databases for Academic Professionals and Researchers to connect with the likely minded people and to create an impact on your scholarly productivity. 
1. Vidwan Expert Database (https://vidwan.inflibnet.ac.in/)
VIDWAN is the premier database of profiles of scientists / researchers and other faculty members working at leading academic institutions and other R & D organisation involved in teaching and research in India. It provides important information about expert's background, contact address, experience, scholarly publications, skills and accomplishments, researcher identity, etc. The database developed and maintained by Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET) with financial support from the National Mission on Education through ICT (NME-ICT). The database would be instrumental in selection of panels of experts for various committees, taskforce, established by the Ministries / Govt. establishments for monitoring and evaluation purposes.

3. Research Gate (https://www.researchgate.net/)
Research Gate is a social networking site for scientists and researchersto share papers, ask and answer questions, and find collaborators. According to a study by Nature and an article in Times Higher Education, it is the largest academic social network in terms of active users, although other services have more registered users and more recent data suggests that almost as many academics have Google Scholar profiles.

Academic Room is a great example of the transition from open content to open communities in the open education space. Sites like Academic Room will support the free flow of ideas in ways never possible before.

About Me:

            I come from humble beginnings. Teachers have contributed immensely for my growth. I was given a firm rooting in oration in my school days. Schaffter.Hr.Sec.School, Tirunelvlei provided me an identity and made me an extraordinary student. I funded my studies by indulging in part-time jobs, and helped by some persons. My parents too played a big part in my growth. My colleagues, friends and various others with whom, I interact in my daily life, have been a constant source of encouragement and inspiration. I love libraries and this love made me enter this profession. After entering Collegiate work, the professors and management members have considered me as their kin and supported me whole heartedly. I am interested in contributing something to the society. I have tried to do this by indulging in tree plantation and special orientation programmes for Government school Students on book reading and library usage.

Research Scholar Introduction:

Mr.M.Mani is pursing Part Time Ph.D in Library and Information Science at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli Under the guidance of Dr.A.Thirumagal, Librarian, M.S.University. He is like one of the sons of our guide. He has worked in Engineering colleges and Polytechnic College. He advices and Setup many new institution Libraries. Currently working as Librarian in Pushpalata Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School (CBSE).  He has faced many library inspections and committees. He has conducted many seminars, workshops, Student Development Programmes and FDP, Training Programmes. He has participated many workshops at Regional, National; International Levels. He has also presented many papers at Regional and National Level Conference and Seminars.  He has published 4 articles in National Journal and 2 articles published in International Journals. He is a life member of many Library Science professional associations and societies. He has nominated one of the Organizing / Advisory committee members at many National level conference and seminars. He has delivered many invited talks at various venues. He has acted as the Judge at many competitions. He creates blog and web node at previous worked institutions. He co-ordinates with our guide to conduct certain celebrations like, Library Week Celebration, Indian father of Library science, Dr.S.R.Ranganathan birthday celebration and world book day celebration in various schools every year in order to inculcate the reading habits and create an awareness about the importance of Reading among the students. Also, the students are told about the library usage procedures. They conduct competitions like essay writing, elocution, drawing, quizzes, cross-word puzzles His areas of interest is User Studies, E-Resources,  Library Management and  Molding the prospective student society.

Dr.A.THIRUMAGAL is the Librarian of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.  She started her carrier as Library Assistant in the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai.  She has contributed so much for the ERMED Consortium of National Medical Library, Delhi. She has 15 years experience in various esteemed institutions \universities in library science department, at present. She is working as librarian in M.S.University. She has published many articles in National and International journals. She has presented her papers in several National and International seminars and conferences.  She has acted as Resource person and chaired many conferences also.  Added to that, she has introduced the N-LIST resources of the INFLIBNET to all the colleges affiliated to the M.S.Unviersity with her personal interest.  She has visited a number of colleges and given demonstrations regarding how to access the N-LIST resources and other e-resources.  She was nominated as member of the Executive Council by the Pro-Chancellor to the Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal. Besides, she is the member of the Finance Committee of Mother Teresa University. She is a life member of many Library Science Professional Associations.  She is also one of the editorial members in many National and International journals. She is guiding many Ph.D. research scholars in Library and Information Science. She evaluated many Ph.D Thesis in the field of LIS. She acted DC Member to the Ph.D Scholars and Observer & Examiner at Ph.D Viva Voce examinations.  She received “Siddhanta Rathinam” award has been received the practice of two years at Shaiva Siddhanta Centre in Thiruvaduthurai Adheenam and “Pasumai Aarvalar” award has been presented for the service of planting several numbers of trees around the Tirunelveli district, honoured by the Team Trust, Lions Club of Tirunelveli at the occasions of Women’s Day Celebration at Rani Anna College, Tirunelveli on 12.03.2018.She has contributed and planted many saplings in our university campus and our Area. She conduct certain celebrations like, Library Week Celebration, Indian father of Library science, Dr.S.R.Ranganathan birthday celebration and world book day celebration in various schools every year in order to inculcate the reading habits and create an awareness about the importance of Reading among the students. Also, the students are told about the library usage procedures. They conduct competitions like essay writing, elocution, drawing, quizzes, cross-word puzzles. Her areas of interest are Creating Institution Repository, Bibliometrics & Scientometrics Analysis, Open Source and Digital Library.
